Free Pattern: Worsted-Weight Socks for Magic Loop, Toe-Up or Top-Down

Here is a fast beginner pattern for learning to knit socks. The pattern teaches you how to make socks toe-up AND top-down- YOU decide which is your favorite!

The pattern is written for worsted-weight yarn so that your project goes quickly and it’s easy to se what you’re doing. Tip: If it’s your first time knitting socks, choose a light-colored yarn so it’s even easier to see.

I also give you links to my video tutorials demonstrating each new technique.

  1. Excuse me for being so dumb, but I signed up for your newsletter and can't figure out how to download your free video dictionary. Where do I go; where do I click?

  2. Hi Vicki, thanks for signing up for my newsletter! You should have received an email titled "Your patterns and video dictionary are ready for download" with a login ID and password as well as a big blue link at the bottom that says "Download Here." If you don't see the email in your inbox, look in your spam folder for an email from me at KNITFreedom -- it could be there. If it is, make sure to mark it as "not spam" so that you get the newsletter emails. I hope this helps!

  4. Hi there! I'm sorry you are having trouble getting the free pattern. You should have received a login ID and password in the confirmation email I sent you when you signed up for KNITFreedom.

If you can't find the email, please email me at liat@knitfreedom.com and I can see what's going on.

When entering the login information, please cut and paste the words so that your browser doesn't automatically capitalize the words.

You can also try using a different browser like Firefox, Safari, or Chrome.

I hope this helps! Please contact me by email if this doesn't resolve the issue.
